RenovaBio's Final 2026 Targets Set at 49.01 Million Decarbonization Credits

The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) in Brazil has officially released the final individual targets for the RenovaBio program for the year 2026, adhering to the program's regulations. These targets pertain to the 2026 cycle, with the compliance verification process slated for completion by December 31st. As published in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU), the total volume of decarbonization credits (CBios) that must be retired from circulation is set at 49.01 million. This figure represents a 1.9% increase over the 48.09 million credit goal initially established by the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE). Notably, the country's three largest distributors will collectively bear a significant portion of this responsibility. Vibra Energia, Ipiranga, and Raízen are together assigned 25.82 million CBios, accounting for 52.7% of the total. Specifically, Vibra Energia is responsible for 10.81 million CBios, Ipiranga for 8.25 million CBios, and Raízen for 6.76 million CBios. This newly released list incorporates several updates and adjustments compared to the preliminary targets presented earlier in the year.
