22 Sugar Mills in Guangxi Yet to Conclude 2025/26 Crushing Season, Primarily in Nanning and Liuzhou

As of April 8th, 2025/26 crushing season, 51 sugar mills in Guangxi have completed their operations, but 22 mills, with a combined daily cane crushing capacity of 153,500 tons, are still active. These remaining mills are mainly located in Nanning and Liuzhou, with a few in Chongzuo and Baise. Notably, most of the completed mills extended their operating days, with 18 extending by over 20 days, indicating a prolonged crushing season overall.

According to the latest statistics from Pan-Sugar Technology, as of April 8, 2025, the 2025/26 crushing season in Guangxi's sugar industry has seen significant progress, with 51 sugar mills successfully completing their production tasks for the season. However, 22 sugar mills are still actively crushing sugarcane. In terms of crushing capacity, the mills that have concluded operations boast a combined daily cane processing capacity of 447,000 tons. The remaining 22 mills still in operation have a total daily cane crushing capacity of 153,500 tons, indicating a substantial portion of production capacity is still active. Geographically, all sugar mills in Qinzhou, Beihai, Fangchenggang, and Hechi have completed their crushing season. The mills yet to conclude operations are primarily concentrated in the Nanning and Liuzhou regions, with a few individual mills still operating in Chongzuo and Baise. Notably, the operating duration of sugar mills this season has generally been extended. Among the mills that have completed crushing, only one saw a slight reduction in operating days, while 32 mills extended their operations by 1 to 20 days. Furthermore, 18 mills extended their crushing period by more than 20 days, reflecting either ample cane supply or specific production scheduling for this season.
