Bazan Group Leads Containerized Sugar Exports for Sixth Consecutive Time

Since 2020, the two sugar mills belonging to the Bazan Group have consistently alternated between the top positions in containerized sugar export volumes. In 2025, the eponymous Bazan unit exported 351,690 tons of the commodity, marking a 37% increase from the previous year and achieving the company's highest volume in its historical series, which began in 2012. A similar trend was observed for Bela Vista, also part of the group, which was responsible for 308,480 tons during the period, representing a 22% increase. Bela Vista's shipments commenced in 2015. These figures are provided by the maritime agency Williams. Nardini Agroindustrial secured the third position, with shipments totaling 178,260 tons, moving up two places year-on-year. Central Energética Moreno, which held the third spot in 2024, dropped to seventh place, with 128,100 tons, a significant decrease of 47.8%. USJ and Copersucar ranked fourth and fifth, respectively. USJ exported 145,290 tons, an increase of 26.3%, while Copersucar shipped 129,540 tons, despite a 20.9% decrease. Both companies also improved their rankings compared to 2024. Considering the top 30 exporters of the product, volumes ranged from Bazan's 351,690 tons to Enerfo's 36,620 tons. Enerfo also experienced the most significant annual retraction in this segment, at 51.5%. Conversely, Timbro recorded the most substantial increase, with a remarkable 161%.
