Guangxi Sugar Mills Nearing Completion: First in Guigang Finishes, 86% of Region's Mills Conclude Crushing
According to Pan-Sugar Technology, as of April 16th, 63 sugar mills in Guangxi have completed their 2025/26 crushing season, accounting for approximately 86% of the total. All mills in Chongzuo have finished, and the first mill in Guigang has also ceased operations. Only 10 mills remain active, primarily in Nanning, Liuzhou, and Guigang, with most expected to finish by late April. The entire crushing season in Guangxi is projected to conclude by early May.
According to the latest statistics from Pan-Sugar Technology, the 2025/26 crushing season in Guangxi is progressing steadily. As of April 16th, a total of 63 sugar mills across the region have completed their production tasks for this season, representing approximately 86% of the total. These mills collectively possess a daily sugarcane crushing capacity of 548,500 tons, indicating the scale of this season's production.
Geographically, all sugar mills in the Chongzuo region have concluded their crushing operations, being among the first to finish this season's production. Notably, the first sugar mill in the Guigang region also ceased operations recently, marking the beginning of the end for that area's crushing season. Currently, 10 sugar mills in Guangxi are still in operation, primarily located in Nanning, Liuzhou, and Guigang.
Pan-Sugar Technology anticipates that the vast majority of these remaining mills will complete their crushing by the end of April. The last mills are expected to shut down by early May, at which point the entire Guangxi production area will have concluded its sugarcane crushing and sugar manufacturing activities for the current season.
