Brazil's Ethanol Exports Reach 58.44 Million Liters in February
Brazil exported 58.44 million liters of ethanol in February, marking a substantial 50.2% year-on-year increase and a 37.4% rise from January. The average price of the biofuel also climbed to US$727.34 per cubic meter, boosting export revenues to US$42.51 million, a 56.9% increase compared to the previous year.
According to the latest data released by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) under Brazil's Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC), Brazilian sugar mills exported 58.44 million liters of ethanol to international markets in February 2025. This export volume represents a significant 50.2% increase compared to the 38.9 million liters shipped in the same month last year. Furthermore, the volume also saw a 37.4% rise from January's figures.
In addition to the increased export volume, the average price of the biofuel also showed an upward trend. In February, the average price of ethanol rose by 4.4%, reaching US$727.34 per cubic meter. This price increase directly contributed to a surge in export revenues, with total ethanol export earnings for the month reaching US$42.51 million, marking a substantial 56.9% year-on-year growth. Compared to January, the average price climbed by 30%, and total revenue increased by an even more impressive 78.6%. These figures underscore the strong performance and positive development trend of Brazil's ethanol export market in February.
