EGGS/CEPEA: February Exports Reach Highest Volume Since 2013

Brazilian egg exports in February 2026 reached their highest volume for the month since 2013, according to data from the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex). While slightly down from January, the year-on-year increase was significant, indicating continued robust growth in Brazil's egg export market.

According to a report from the Center for Advanced Studies on Applied Economics (CEPEA) at the University of São Paulo, Brazilian egg exports in February 2026 demonstrated strong performance, marking the highest volume for the month since 2013. This follows a robust start to the year, as January's exports also set a 13-year record for that month. While there was a slight decrease in export volume compared to January of this year, the year-on-year growth against February 2025 was substantial. Data compiled by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) and analyzed by CEPEA indicates that total shipments in February reached 2.94 thousand tons. This volume was 5% lower than in January but represented a significant 16% increase compared to the same month in 2025. This sustained growth highlights Brazil's increasing competitiveness in the global egg market.
